Some Interesting facts that you may not know about African Clawed Frogs

Here are some Interesting Facts about the ACF:
 
1)  Their Heart has 3 chambers and beats at 8 beats a minute at 2'C and 40-60 beats a minute at 25'C.
 
2)  Their skin is covered in thick mucous layer which protects the sensitive, permeable skin.
 
3)  A small hook is present in the upper jaw.
 
4)  Large stores of Fat are kept attached to each kidney - this
fat is used to make energy during Breeding and Hibernation.
 
5) ACF's occasionally grow back lost arms.
